If you are tired of trying to figure out what tools you really need to get clients online, here's a list of everything you need.

This way you do not have to waste time and money guessing what works.

To leverage the potential of digital marketing and create a stream of leads and sales so you can grow your business on autopilot there are five things you will need, they are:

These are the basic building blocks needed to build out your sales marketing funnels and create the foundation of a winning digital marketing strategy.

What started as a blogging platform has matured into arguably the best website platform on the planet. Wordpress.org is a self-hosted CMS (Content Management System) that you can use to power your website for free. There are so many quality themes and plugins available that there is quite simply very little that this platform cannot handle in its stride.

Squarespace is a hosted website platform that lets you build a stunning, responsive website without the hassle of sorting out your own hosting and managing plugins, updates and maintenance. For the less techie minded business owners, this is a wonderful choice as it provides beautiful, professionally designed templates and features that satisfy most informational website requirements perfectly.

If you are looking to sell physical products online, then Shopify is the eCommerce platform of choice. It is hands-down one of the most cost-effective ways for small businesses to establish an impressive and scaleable eCommerce presence quickly.

Leadpages is a feature-packed landing page builder with lots of advanced features that make it one of my go-to tools of choice for most clients.

Thrive Architect is a Wordpress plugin that allows you to turn your Wordpress website into a marketing machine. Publish conversion optimised landing pages and content on any Wordpress powered website.

ClickFunnels does exactly what it says on the tin. It allows you to quickly build any type of marketing funnel. It does a lot of other things too (email, membership sites, etc.) but where it shines is in quickly creating sales and marketing funnels for your business.

Convertri is a great landing page building tool. It has a cool freeform drag and drop editor that allows you to build pages exactly how you want them to look. The page speeds on their landing pages are blowing the big boys out of the water. A strong contender for building blisteringly-fast funnels and landing pages and definitely worth a look.

In a world where online marketing software and tools are legion, Kartra is bucking the trend of lots of different software by consolidating the marketing stack. They offer an all-in-one solution for running your online business. From landing pages and funnels, membership sites, checkouts and email marketing. It's worth a look for the landing page functionality alone. Website + Kartra = Complete Online Business.

For small business, Infusionsoft is arguably the gold standard for sales, CRM (customer relationship management) and email marketing automation software. It is used by the most prominent online marketers the world over for very good reason. But if you are just starting out in your online journey the cost can be quite prohibitive.

Drip is a lightweight but powerful marketing automation tool that allows you to carefully craft every interaction with your leads and customers throughout the customer lifecycle. In most cases this is my go-to recommendation.

ActiveCampaign is a fully-featured and powerful automation tool. It has the added benefit of sales pipeline management so ticks a lot of the CRM boxes, especially for B2B businesses looking for additional functionality.

ConvertKit is email marketing designed primarily for professional bloggers. Whilst it doesn't have the "horse power" of Infusionsoft, Drip or ActiveCampaign it is still a pretty powerful tag-based email system that is definitely worthy of your consideration.
